About Me
My name is Sue Mason and I am the principle of SJM Wills & Associated Services Ltd, which was established in late 2004, having qualified for a law degree in that year. I have been a regulated member of the Institute of Professional Willwriters since January 2005.
Combined with my legal experience and the code of practice set by the Institute of Professional Willwriters (IPW) and Trading Standards, I am able to provide legally compliant advice and related documents to the preparation of Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney, provision for long term care and funeral plans.
I am based in Locks Heath and have clients across Hampshire, Dorset and the Isle of Wight.
As a member of the IPW I have Professional Indemnity Insurance of £2million which covers your beneficiaries, and public liability insurance that covers me up to £5million. I also subscribe to the IPW’s rigorous Code of Practice backed up by a disciplinary code.
Membership to the IPW is only available to those who pass the entrance examination, or the equivalent run by the Law Society, the Institute of Legal Executives or the Chartered Institute of Bankers.
We are bombarded by television and the media ‘insure this and that’, ‘no-win, no-pay’ adverts and yet, one of the most important things we neglect to do is, to write a Will.
